Learn how to find your way around in HomePulse

When you sign in you land on your Jobs list. This page is your home screen and the sidebar on the left takes you everywhere else.

The sidebar

  • Jobs. Every build in your account, with a search box and a filter. The list shows Not Started and In Progress jobs by default, so change the filter when you are looking for a completed one.

  • Contacts. The people you deal with, including your clients, supplier reps and trades.

  • Companies. The businesses those people work for, each typed as a Supplier, a Service Provider or an Entity. Suppliers, companies and contacts explains which is which.

  • Tasks. Every task across every job in one list, which you can filter by status and by who it is assigned to.

  • Items. Your product library. The layout toggle switches between a table and a grid of cards.

  • Inspections. The inspections running across your jobs.

  • Templates. Opens into Area Templates, Selection Templates, Item Templates, Task Templates and Inspection Templates. How templates work covers all five.

  • Notifications. Shows a count of anything unread and opens a panel listing it.

  • Settings. Your account setup and your own preferences, listed further down.

Inside a job

A job opens on its Summary tab, and the tab strip across the top stays with you on every screen of that job.

  • Summary. The client, the address and dates, recent activity on the job, and anything that needs your attention.

  • Selection Settings. The areas, selection groups and item groups that make up your client's selections portal.

  • Chosen Selections. What your client has picked so far. You can review selections, edit quantities and generate purchase orders from here.

  • Purchase Orders. The draft and sent orders for this job.

  • Notes. Your notes on the job, along with a copy of each purchase order and work release you email from it.

  • Tasks. The build schedule & forecast, shown as a list, a calendar or a Gantt chart.

  • Variations. Contract variations, which your client reviews and accepts in their portal.

  • Inspections. The inspections run on this job.

  • Attachments. Photos, plans and documents for the job.

  • Messages. Your conversation with the client.

The Presentation button in the job header opens showroom mode in a new browser tab. It shows the selections the way your client sees them, without the HomePulse navigation around them, for running a selections appointment in person.

Settings

Settings has eight tabs. Profile, Email and Notifications apply to you alone, and the other five apply to your whole account.

  • Profile. Your own details.

  • Account. Your company details and the logo that brands your client portal. See Account settings.

  • Areas. Your area types and areas. See Creating your Area Types and Areas.

  • Selection Types. See Creating your Selection Types.

  • Calendars. Connects a Microsoft calendar, so scheduled tasks appear in it.

  • Purchase Orders. Your order numbering and defaults. Set these before you raise your first purchase order, so your numbering does not change partway through a job.

  • Email. The address your emails are sent from. See Account settings.

  • Notifications. Which notifications also reach you by email. See Account settings.
