Account settings: branding, sending addresses and notifications

Step through setting up your branding, sending address & notification settings

Last updated

These are the settings to finish before a client or a supplier hears from you. All of them live under Settings in the sidebar.

Brand your client portal

Your client portal shows your logo at the top, or your company name if you have not uploaded one, and carries no HomePulse branding.

  1. Go to Settings and open the Account tab.

  2. Check your company name and details.

  3. Upload your logo.

  4. Save your changes.

Do this before you invite your first client, because the logo is the first thing they see when they log in.

The login invitation and password reset emails your client receives come from HomePulse rather than from you, which Adding your client to a job explains.

Set up your sending address

Purchase orders, work releases, variations and the portal links you send clients all go out from your own verified email address, so replies come back to you. Each person on your team sets up their own, because HomePulse sends every email from the address of the team member who sent it.

  1. Go to Settings and open the Email tab.

  2. Enter the address you want your emails to come from.

  3. Read it back before you submit, ensure the email address is correct.

  4. Submit the address.

  5. Open the verification email that arrives at that address and follow the link in it.

  6. Return to the Email tab and check the status shows the address as verified.

Until the address is verified, your emails go out from a HomePulse address instead.

Choose your email notifications

When a client sends a message on any job, everyone in your account is notified inside HomePulse. You choose whether you also get an email about it.

  1. Go to Settings and open the Notifications tab.

  2. Tick or untick Client Messages.

  3. Click Save Settings.

Notifications inside HomePulse appear under Notifications in the sidebar.

What to do next

Set up the suppliers your items will point at, using Suppliers, companies and contacts.
